FIA has launched the first ever directory of the best FIA accredited African illustrators. It is searchable by country and illustration expertise which will expose local talent to global opportunities. We believe to truly thrive, illustrators on the continent must be easy to locate. We are proud to have provided the first dedicated community offering not just education, support and vocational opportunities but also visibility and a platform to be discovered by commissioners of an international standard looking to engage with African art and illustration for their branding and projects.
We are actively partnering with international brands to offer the latest available jobs and opportunities to our members which will fast track their profile and development. We are excited about the reception and support this initiative is receiving and look forward to unveiling the specifics in coming weeks.
To protect the integrity of the directory, FIA will be looking at each artist application for listing independently and conducting portfolio reviews to ensure only active, qualified and operational illustrators are listed. We encourage all illustrators seeking to be added on to The Directory to apply for registration here.
The Illustrator Directory Africa will also be available as an e-book and limited edition printed annual directory sent to commissioners, agents, fashion magazines and leading fashion houses within and outside the African continent.
